Water-cooled, direct injection 6, 8, 12 and 16 cylinder 60° V-engines. Mechanical, hydraulic or electronic speed governing. One inlet and one exhaust valve per cylinder head. Boost pressure controlled injection pump (preventing black smoke). Available in turbocharged version with charge air cooler. Compared to engine type 232,Increased output. Compact engine, low weight. High space/output ratio reaching 406 kW/m3. Easy maintenance and long maintenance intervals and low emission.
