To use several decades of experience GEA accumulated in the European locomotive market, GEA devoted itself to design and manufacture CAC for locomotives in China market and became an officially nominated supplier by China Ministry of Railway in 2000.
At present, GEA has established close cooperation relationship with all locomotive works in China, The main coolers we have supplied include DF4, DF7, DF8/8B ond DF11 series.All types of coolers have passed the performance test held by China Railway Ministry Science Institute. The first delivered CAC for DF11 loco engine has passed the 900,000km operation verification.
In August 2002, a professional technology assessment for GEA locomotive CAC was carried out by Equipment Department of Transportation Bureau of Ministry of Railway, which came to the conclusion that: “the products reach today’s international advanced standard, pass the technology assessment, and are allowable to be popularized for application.”
Since 2003, GEA has been exporting locomotive CAC to the US market.
